The Entomological Society of New South Wales Inc. welcomes all who have an interest in insects, whether young or old, amateur or professional. Members receive a monthly Circular outlining activities, and a copy of the Society’s journal, General and Applied Entomology.

Since its formation in 1953 the Society has maintained a commitment to the promotion of entomology and the dissemination of entomological knowledge through workshops, meetings and field trips.

Members and visitors are welcome to attend the Society’s monthly meetings, held at 7.30 pm on the first Wednesday of March, May, July, September and November.  Meetings provide an excellent opportunity to meet other entomologists and discuss mutual interests in a friendly atmosphere.

Meetings usually include a short business meeting, a "Show and Tell" session, an invited speaker, and supper.  Talks run for around 45 minutes, with 10 minutes for questions.

Special visits may be arranged to institutions dealing in some degree with insect biology – e.g. NSW Forestry, Royal Botanical Gardens, NSW Agriculture, Australian Museum.
